Shaheed Dunichand Tejandas Kalani College
Shaheed Dunichand Tejandas Kalani College of Arts, Commerce and Science, serving higher education for 21 years in semi-urban and village areas. Founded by social reformer and freedom fighter Shaheed Dunichand Tejandas Kalani, the college is a tribute to his vision.
Initiated by his nephew Shri Suresh (Pappu) Kalani, M.L.A., the Kalani Memorial Trust was established in 1990 to fulfill the dream of his uncle. In 2002, the trust opened Junior and Degree College, expanding with new courses like B.M.S. and B.Sc. (I.T.) in 2005, BCBI in 2012-13, and BAF and M.Com. in Advance Accountancy in 2020-21.
The college boasts infrastructural facilities, including classrooms, library, computer lab, playground, and more. Besides academic focus, the college emphasizes overall student development through extracurricular activities, extension activities, and NSS unit engagement.
Efforts for student welfare include government scholarships, Earn & Learn scheme for needy students, and a well-maintained library. Various committees and associations, including Students Grievance Redressal Cell, Anti-Ragging Committee, and Alumni Association, contribute to a conducive learning environment.
The teaching staff is qualified and devoted, and the campus features well-equipped labs, gymkhana, playground, and an air-conditioned auditorium. Ample parking is provided for staff, and the college is committed to continuous improvement for the betterment of its students.
